School Announcements
1. No moving in the last 15 minutes of class. Stay in class for the wrap up of the lesson.
2. Use your agenda as a hall pass.
3. No book bags in bathroom.
4. Gum is an After School Detention. Don't chew it.
5. No students are allowed in the teacher’s lounge.
6. Put your cellphones, Ipods, etc. in your locker. We are NOT responsible for lost or stolen electronics.
Challenger Early College for 8th grade students
Public Information Sessions: January 30th 6 p.m. CVCC Campus Tarlton Complex
February 2nd 6 p.m. Riverbend Middle School
February 9th 6 p.m. Maiden High School
Families are NOT required to attend; families should only attend one of their choice.
Applications forms and all required documents are posted on the Challenger Early College website. All application documents are due to the early college office by 5:00 p.m. on March 1st.

Policy Update!

Policy update: There are no family trips that count as educational field trips. All family trips are unexcused absences.

Teen Court

NCMS Teen court recently visited the Gaston County Teen Court. These students are putting in a lot of extra effort to help improve our school and we greatly appreciate it.

Dress Code Reminders* Tops should be polo or golf style shirts - Colors (solid only): white, red, navy blue, or royal blue.
*Bottoms can be pants, shorts, capris, skirts, skorts and must not be cargo style - Colors (solid only): tan, black, or navy.
*Shirts must be tucked at all times.
Unexcused Tardies / Early Sign-Out
Any student who has 5 unexcused tardies or early sign-outs will be given After School Detention. Documentation must be provided before a tardy or sign out can be excused.Accelerated Reader Update
